Fasting Guide
Fasting is a powerful, time-tested way to press pause on the physical and lean in to the spiritual. At its core, fasting means intentionally setting aside food—or other comforts—for a set time to grow closer to God. It’s not about earning something from Him. It’s about making space to know Him more deeply.
This isn’t about restriction for the sake of rules. It’s about realignment. Fasting helps break the grip of our cravings, distractions, and sin nature, and refocuses our hearts on the things of the Spirit. It’s spiritual training, shaping us to live more like Jesus.
💡 DIFFERENT WAYS TO FAST
Not every fast looks the same. Choose what makes sense for your season—and let prayer lead your decision.
1. Liquid Fast
Drink only liquids for a specific time.
2. Partial Fast
Cut out specific types of food. (Think: the Daniel Fast.)
3. Tech Fast
Step away from TV, social media, or apps that eat up your time.
Things to remember about Fasting:

-
Fasting helps break the control of our desires and refocuses us on God.
-
It’s not about twisting God’s arm—it’s about opening our heart.
-
Methods vary, but the goal stays the same: closeness with Him.
